Vader will made made again and again by various companies. I'll wait for the one I like. Till then my money goes on other things

I will have enough reward points to get this for free shortly but the latest pics have me thinking of skipping it and getting Sideshows McVader instead. So now, having passed on Han, Chewie, Ben and now Vader, do I want Farmboy Luke and Buns of Steel Leia or wait for ESB...

Yeah I am not loving this Vader either. I was okay with him in the promo photos but the more I see of it at shows it looks worse everytime. The helmet is really off, the paint is strange, the tailoring is not that great and he looks fat. I think the first Sideshow offering was much better and it was less than half of the price.

I want to love it but I just don't, epseciallly for $300 USD + shipping. I'll wait to see the final pictures but if it stays like the way it is I won't be getting it. I've passed on Han, Chewie, Obi and now probably Vader. If that is the case I will just end up cancelling Luke and sell my two Stormtroopers.

Another oddity is the silver insert in the nose area, again the issues pointed out with this prototype and what's seen on screen should be an easy fix for Hot Toys.
No excuses really:pray:

And with good reason...

Christ Almighty. :monkey4

This figure will probably be great if the dome shape is fixed and sits lower. Looks great in that shot but the top of the dome still looks too short. Or everyone can just display him in profile in a duel with Obi-Wan.

This looked pretty good to me in person. I do think the dome doesn't looks as menacing as the pics from Budget Stark, but maybe it wasn't put on correctly here? Not sure, but this seems like a good Vader to me. Going from movie recollection, not analytics. Chewie on the other hand....

It's $300. It should look just like the Vader from 1977. It's not like it is a human likeness likeness where it needs to look like Harrison Ford or Mark Hamill, it's a freaking mask, helmet and suit that has been figurized for 38 years.

Looks like I may have to display this on his side fighting obi-wan if they don't fix the helmet. As I said before there is no excuse for making this figure wrong. [emoji35]
