Still not PO'ing this, will wait for in hand photos before i throw 300$ towards this. Still can't believe they haven't gotten this figure looking sharp and accurate yet. They better be improving this and not just wasting all these months deliberately for TFA stuff.

I really like the interrogation droid with it :lol

If I don't get this HT Vader I would like to at least pick up the droid to go with my SSC Vader.

We always see him in that same pose, I'm sure once we see in hand pics with him posed and futzed to look more like the movie he represents it will change some minds.

Damn.. looking more ROTS-ish again. :lol

Sad thing is their 1/4 ROTS looks better to me than this, which makes no sense. Always seems to photograph pretty well.

I'm torn. I have my deluxe Vader. I'm considering selling it in favor of this. A lot of it really is the height. Some of it is the saber arm. But I do like the Sideshow one a lot. Hard to decide.

To be honest, I do see some ANH Vader in that photo. I'm not a Vader expert but there's definitely a vibe in that shot of the mask and helmet...was it Jack Bauer that originally said it's "very close"? Looks like it there.

Makes sense, this is ANH Vader after all... an acquired taste.

Originally my favourite Vader, but I've leaned towards ESB lately.

ANH is the original, Flash Gordon-style villain; ESB is a scenery-chewing Bond villain. Very tough call to make between the two.

I go back and forth as well. After the Death Star blew, it felt like Vader got a promotion as the sole survivor. But whether he's a dog-of-war or a shiny elegant villain, I visually prefer the robes over the armor. I do like that 'samurai' influence Lucas envisioned.

Also, my primary display is going to be STAR WARS (A New Hope).... at least until HT makes an ESB/ROTJ version. :lol
