That mini cheap chip ahoy stand is a vader gloveslap to our face challenge us to a duel wether to buy or not ? At 1st glance thought a cake mix batter was on the probe droid or some other sinnister doc's tool i wont bring up lol.

It's an interrogator droid, but I suspect it's done a fair bit of probing in its time, not to mention delivering a few babies...

Decided I will pick up the HT Vader but not digging the droid. Maybe I will sell it and get a SC Vader light up base with it.

I do not think this figure is for you. Wait for the better ROTJ Vader sometime next summer.

One thing that makes me wonder is why in the world they painted the raised center ridge on the chest armor black. That was only on tour suits that occurred and never on any of the movie versions. They also made the chest armor too slim. It should have a return edge all around the edges and adding that would make the armor sit more accurately on the chest.

I'm not deciding if I will stick with my SS one or ditch it for this new one until I see some side to side pictures.

Great catch on the center ridge being black - didn't notice that. Seems like it's just an error.

Yes. I was thinking that as I typed the last response. SS looks good with the SS bounty hunters. HT ANH will go well with the HT Stormtroopers or Obi-wan. A HT ESB/RoTJ will go well with either Bespin Luke or Jedi Luke or a HT Emperor.

Having studied all facets of Darth Vader, from fact to fiction to fantasy to fanboy fan-gasm, I have come to the empirical decision that this is currently the best Vader your money can buy.

Buying HT Vader means selling my SS for a loss and paying extra out of my pocket for a sound feature and light up saber I will never use. I went home and looked at my SS, repositioned him and placed him on another shelf. Looks ****ing brilliant!!

If I could do a straight switch with no extra cash involved then sure. But I think I will hang on to SS Vader for now. A HT ESB/ROTJ Vader might be the time I “might” take action.
