I'm not deciding if I will stick with my SS one or ditch it for this new one until I see some side to side pictures.

There have been 4 pictures posted a few pages back.

The more I think about it, the more I think I'm gonna pass. I love how this guy looks, but I know there is going to be an even better version down the line. I hate the idea of buying one temporarily only to sell it to buy the next one.

You're gonna dump the SSC in favour of the HT, Jaymus. You know it to be true!

The more I think about it, the more I think I'm gonna pass. I love how this guy looks, but I know there is going to be an even better version down the line. I hate the idea of buying one temporarily only to sell it to buy the next one.

Hmm, if by "even better version down the road" you mean an ESB/ROTJ version, I'd agree (though whether the look is better is subjective -- personally I think both are essential), but I don't see them doing another Ep IV version anytime soon. Not sure what will happen with Rogue One but another Ep IV Vader doesn't make much sense. We don't know if he'll figure prominently in that film or even cameo. If the story is about the Rebels first victory/stealing the DS plans, I don't see what role he has since he's far above the day-to-day frontlines where it would appear the story would take place.

Buying HT Vader means selling my SS for a loss and paying extra out of my pocket for a sound feature and light up saber I will never use. I went home and looked at my SS, repositioned him and placed him on another shelf. Looks ****ing brilliant!!

If I could do a straight switch with no extra cash involved then sure. But I think I will hang on to SS Vader for now. A HT ESB/ROTJ Vader might be the time I “might” take action.

FYI – HT Vader is very nice!!

I'm in the same boat. I haven't even had my SS Vader for a year yet and I think it still looks great after my mods. I'm going to hold out for the next Vader with a reveal sculpt. Can't wait to see what HT does with it. I'll be first in line to preorder if they destroy the SS version.

I do. I like action figures, but the hobby as a whole, I despise.

Im thinking im gonna stay with the ssc for now. I rather use the money for boba fett or the sand trooper. Of course this is just how i feel today tom i may feel different. My only real issue with the ssc is the scale and not the so much helmet anyway. Its far from perfect but i cant say i hate like some others do.

I know...I never get why people keep saying they'll pass cause there'll probably be another version later on.
If a new one comes along, then sell the old one and get the new one.
Also, new doesnt always mean better.

I've passed on some newer figures before, cause I prefer the older one.
But this is just the nature of the hobby. There's always a chance another one might come along that might be better.
You're only denying yourself the enjoyment of a figure by always looking too far ahead.

Yep, finally. Never realized just how off SSC's dome was until I saw it side by side with this in profile. Looks like HT really did a fantastic job.

Makes zero sense. There's always a better 'something' on the horizon.

People don't seem to have this issue with their phone or car or TV, etc.

Thanks. Got a better than current ebay cost thankfully but wow these things have short up in the past year!

Although I'm no photographer! I'll leave that to Jay and Rory who will have theirs before me too.
