Wait -- what happened? The function broke, or never worked?

When I put the batteries in initially, I only heard him breathing. By the time I'd dressed and futzed him the 15min reset had passed. A couple days later when I undressed him again, I repeatedly reset the switch on both Vader and the remote but nothing happened. I think Eamon had a similar issue too?

Nice montage Mr P, beautiful photography & a great soundtrack to boot! Figures perfectly futzed too.

Thank you very much! :duff

I just ordered mine from ssc. I already have their version but I want the hot toys version as well. Can't wait.

More great pictures & poses matrix69! The nose insert isn't as noticeable on your Vader, have you modified it?

Whoa! This is a under-reported issue. How could the electronics break that quickly? One-time use should be in the instructions.

So people should be aware, despite whether you want "breathing function" or not, you may not actually get it in the end, even though you're paying for it.

Stewie: Where's my notice SS? Where's my notice man? You gonna give me my notice?

I have a feeling mine is the same. Haven't tried it again yet though, exactly the same thing happened, and I thought it odd that it didn't work again.
If it's yours, mine and eamons and someone else I think mentioned it, then it's almost one for one with an issue.

That sucks! The breathing was the one "trick" I think I would actually use.

I have a feeling this may grow into a backlash if this is a real problem. Too bad its so hard to actually check. Maybe that was the point of the awkward design. :lol

I don't understand how these high end companies can produce such detailed figures but then screw up electronic features nearly every time they are attempted, when that's something hasbro and mattel get right.

It's not a deal breaker for this figure, but it sucks that we are paying for faulty electronics.

Has anyone replaced the batteries? Maybe it's the same issue some are having with the R2 figure, where the batteries are draining even when it's on standby. I don't even think I'll ever bother to put them in in the first place given everything you guys have mentioned.

I don't understand why these high end companies put sounds in their toys.

Don't they think we're capable enough of making our own sounds as we play with our toys? :dunno

Absolutely frickin' AWESOME, Matrix. I'd swear some of those are movie stills from 1976 (that's the filming year, so that I don't get flamed. LOL!)

Is that David Prowse in the suit.. Excellent pics Matrix :hi5:

Thanks and no i didn't modify the nose plug. Maybe it's just the lighting in the pics. The paint apps on the mask (although not completely accurate) are so well done that the few nitpicks i have just fade into the background. The mask and armor actually look like real metal and that magnificent dome cries ANH vader from every angle..bliss:)

in ANH, does vader wear the tunic under or over the armor? I'm assuming over...but sideshows jedi vader has it under. so did vader wear it different in anh than he did in jedi?

The sound feature on mine stopped working as well after the first time but i got it going again. I found the trick is to not to leave it standing and waiting for the 15min reset to kick in,switch the button on the back of vader to off straight away after you've finished showing off to everyone how cool it sounds!:) Mine is now working perfectly the pass few days.
