Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

So funny when I first looked at the forum this morning and saw the HT Vader thread had like 10 more pages, I knew they had released pictures! :lol

Overall I'm disappointed! I think the face mask looks too long or too narrow/slim. And the dome isn't quite wide enough either. Body and suit looks okay, but is it also too tall like Sideshow's?

Getting HT Vader wasn't a priority for me. I was maybe going to get the head to replace my Sideshow one, expecting it to be significantly better. Oh well. I guess I'll wait for HT's ESB Vader!

Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

I really wouldn't judge a lot on those pics, there is a lot of lens distortion on the pick that makes the mask look long. I'm disappointed they didn't go for an imperfect ANH mask, but at the same time I'm confident that it's gonna be good.

Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

I am no Vader expert but I agree with some about the mask, something definitely looks off. The rest of it looks pretty amazing to me though.

Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

Not crazy about Vader so far which will likely save me some money. Obi Wan looks great. His saber could be better IMO.

Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

Well, well, morning all....

Figures the one night I don't check.

Looks snazzy in this shot, if its the 1/6 Vader.

:lol

Super-Vader.

He looks very glam. Not so much like ANH Vader.

I like it. Would like to see it in not so harsh light. Love that they got the widow's peak and 'real' gloves. Don't like the tunic or cape at all. Bad material.

At least you guys with the Sideshow version don't have to worry too much now.

Ben is the real problem...

Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

I don't see cool realistic figures anymore but rather a $250 - $350 price tag. And knowing I don't want to spend that much, all these figures are just "OK" to me now.

I'm not impressed. :(

Glad I'm not the only one that feels that way about the head/dome.

Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

Looks like a mix between the SS and HT will give you a solid Vader. I am liking the helmet though. Granted it needs to hide the "eyebrows".

I must retract that I like the real gloves. They look like slip-on gauntlets now to me -- not worked into the back of the hand like a real glove.

Rushed work here. Typical HT v1.

Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

Looks good but until they come out with Jedi Vader I'll pass.

Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

Look at Vader and that Stormtrooper; either than Stormie is damn near Ewok size or HT is doing a tall ass Vader. Either way, I am concerned

Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

Remember all the "wait till Hot Toys make Vader" posts...well here he is! :)

It looks like the cape, the tunic and the body suit are the sideshow ones? Look at the stitching on the tunic close ups, it looks just like the sideshow ANH. I could be wrong but isn't the chest box supposed to be larger ? Where are the boards resident Vader guru's. Maybe they can chime in. It's just my opinion, but I'm not seeing ANH Vader....not seeing this....
Seriously though, I'm not seeing ANH Vader....
