Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

This is what I would like to see, more or less:

Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

Vader's height was no more than 6'9" which would relate to around 13.5" at the most. Not taller. Better to go lower than taller.

The plane on the cheek with the black paint is very wrong. They should add a bit more material on the top of it to raise the top edge a bit.

And the sides of the dome shouldn't be rounded as much - they should be more straight - and the brow line should be lowered.

The center ridge on the chest armor shouldn't be squared on the sides, it should be curved.

The seamlines in the leather suit seems too close and the firm puffiness is all wrong - looks like an inflated suit.

Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

Yeah, the figure has some fundamental things wrong with it right now.

Lower sitting chest armour, bigger chest box, less distance between that & the belt.. apart from the dome & mask being incorrect as well.

I'll say this though, so far just about every photo in one way or another, doesn't show the figure in the right context yet; depth of field, lighting - etc.

****ing frustrating to say the least. :lol

Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

Nice camel toe. Looks like Darth's jock strap rides up the crotch.

You can just tell the capes and robes are going to be crap. What is it with Hot Toys and capes?

Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

Great.. so now these guys are using car headlights for a flash. :lol

Say what you like about on.cc, but that lighting shows the figure for what it is, imperfections and all, unlike the HT's 'lets shoot this with fancy blue lighting because the real thing is silver' Robocop.

Come to think of it, on.cc did a Robocop shoot long ago....must dig it up to see what the figure looked like.

Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

The dome needs lowering, that's why.

Actually, the size of the chest box & the space between it, the chest armour & the belt, are starting to bug me. :lol

Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

He just looks really uncomfortable (and not in the, "I lost 4 limbs and was burned alive" sort of way"). It's more like a Rosie O'Donnell in a 'Riding the bus with my sister' kind of way.

Re: Hot Toys Darth Vader Sixth Scale Figure

Never thought I'd see the day when Hasbro actually started putting this much effort into their products.
