Vader seemed just as evil in empire, choking his coworkers left and right, though in ANH he was also getting in his ship and shooting down rebels--definitely a little more hands on (Antilles, etc.) I think it would have helped if we saw him on Hoth a little more. Maybe slaying a couple rebels with his saber before tracking down the falcon. Everything Hoth was so awesome it's easy to want more.

Yeah, I'm not saying he felt less evil in Empire, just not in the same way. In Empire he's more "we're going to hunt you down and destroy you" while in ANH he's more of a "I'll kill you with my bare hands and burn your house down" kinda guy.

That description of him in ROTJ is 100% on point. It's all about construction taking too long and preparing troop formation for the Emperor and trying to convert Luke. He doesn't even kill anyone the whole movie, right? Darth Niceguy.

Edit: I mean outside the Emperor of course.

I honestly dont see a difference in the Vader's accept that the inner cloak is on the outside of shoulder armor on ANH

Glad I skipped on the SSC Vader. I only like the original trilogy . This Vader is a must. Old Ben will be nice as well.

Both SSC helmeted Vaders were from the original trilogy.

I must be in the minority, but ANH was my favorite DV look. He looked like he had been in a few battles. He was too shiny and pristine in ESB...I guess the Empire had him pushing too many pencils

Wait... all three of these are Darth Vader? They look SO different.

As big a SW fan as I am, until a year or two ago I didn't really notice any differences other than the cape over the armor.

And now it's like "ANH version is so much better than ESB"...

As big a SW fan as I am, until a year or two ago I didn't really notice any differences other than the cape over the armor.

And now it's like "ANH version is so much better than ESB"...

I noticed them but really didn't care. All the "differences" are so minor it doesn't matter to me at all. Vader is Vader.

The hottoys will become my stand alone vader display, I'll keep sideshows and use them for battle poses with Luke and obi wan where he will be hidden a bit due to pose or like on front of him

I never ordered any of SS earlier Vader efforts and seeing this HT version is going to be quite tempting.

Interesting. Even as a kid I could tell the ANH Vader was different. He was more beat up, his dome looked bigger, the cape and the the sloping shoulders. I never knew the Empire and Jedi ones were different though. To be honest I still have a hard time telling them apart.

yeah, it's like 3PO, who looks pretty different between the three films - but me... never noticed back then.

I think I figured Vader broke out some Armor-all (literally) between SW and ESB.

Nope, not really new, just bet on every major character, and variants, from the info I got. You all knew Vader was coming. What I am surprised by is the 2 releases at a time bit. That wasn't communicated to me(actually I didn't ask). Going on what I know they are making Luke and Leia will most likely be previewed soon together I guess, based on the way HT has done it in the past 2 months probably by the end of the year. My source is very firm on Jedi Luke for reasons related to EP. VII merchandising with HT.
