Saw the movie last night and I believe there are only 2 scenes with this armor. I feel really underwhelmed by it. Kind of wish that the 46 was held over for this instead of this new paint job.

We ll it a Spider-Man film so i'm happy tony and the suit was kinda in the background. I get the suits for the suits i would still be getting this even if was not in a movie or (like some of my IM 3 figs) even just a blur in the background :lol

The suit is a take it or leave it thing, not really all that impressive even the CGI looked a little off with it. I would have gathered had a Tony Stark figure announced than this really

Not really a spoiler but whatever
They still could do a Stark but i would not bet on it. I'm still surprised they did not do a black eye tony for civil war.

It basically is the XLVI. It's like the XLII to the XLIII.

I was waiting for IM to swoop in and rescue Peter in that last scene, which would have ruined the ending. Glad it didn't happen. IM was really a background character, not over-shadowing SM as we feared by promo stuff. This didn't even make the movie:

In my opinion, if you're just going for those 2 pieces, get the "knockoffs". Parted out, I can see those 2 pieces going for over $100 together.

I understand...

Because I've just received my MK46, and my conscience cannot accept the fact that I will spend again for a repaint..

Which I've done with MK42 and MK43...

I went for the Power Pose on this one. Half the price, and I have so many other armors I can pose, I figure I can forego the articulation on one of them. There are, after all, only so many poses you can achieve with these figs before you're doubling up anyway.

This is going to be in the movie for 5 minutes, give it a rest. If you can find one or several armors you like in the 46 canon variants there already are, then one more isn't going to help you. Reality of design and costs in movies is a factor, they cannot commit resources to designing and rendering assets that will barely (or in most of the HPP), never appear on screen. This isn't even an iron man movie.

In the end this suit filled its purpose just fine, something new to see without breaking the bank, its in two scenes for a total of a scant few minutes just like I figured. If you need narrative justification instead of movie making reality, if Tony's going to fab a new suit after 46 gets thrashed its not insane to imagine its the same basic suit with a few tweaks and a new color scheme, why not. Mark 2-3 did it, 4-6 did it, 42-43 did it. I like the look too, 46 had too much red anyway so its an improvement. If it was plastic I might even buy it, but diecast prices have put 1/6 in crazytown territory for me, so nah.

Great flick though, most enjoyable MCU film in a few years. Excellent villain, funny, great cameos. I'll actually see this one again in theaters

I brought my son to the movie. We really enjoyed it. Enough younger vibe for the newer fans and enough throwback for the old guys like me. Keaton was great. RDJ and Favereau were great.

I don't have the MK 2 nor the 45/46 so this 47 is a nice pickup for me with the spidey.

Mk. 2?!?!?!?! Does it make some type of appearance in the movie? I thought just the 42&47 were shown. Please correct me if I'm wrong!

Or is it because the Mk. 47 has so much silver that you see an amalgamation of the Mk. 2 & 46?

Amalgamation was my point.

Where was the 42 in Spider-Man?
Forget it. I remember.

The amount of Mk47, and Tony Stark in general, are perfect. I loved how the Mk47 only appeared twice. Both times fitting the narrative of Peter not being ready, as both times were to save his ***.

The cruise ship scene was amazing and really showcased the skill/experience gap between Spidey and a legit Avenger. Here's Peter screwing up and on the brink of failing miserably, then in comes IM to super casually put the ship back together like it's nothing. Peter's scrambling, begging Tony to let him help with the ship. And Tony's just like yeahhh.... I got this and I (and to a deeper level, the Avengers) don't need your help.

I really have an appreciation for the IM scenes where he's simply saving people and not necessarily coming to blows with the baddie. The Mk42 airplane/free fall scene is one of my favorite IM scenes.

I also loved when Tony Stark DIDN'T show up. Peter stuck under the rubble was the point in the movie where you truly see his evolution. For a moment you forget he's Spider-Man, and all you see is a helpless little boy who's stuck, potentially on the verge of death, crying for help. IM could have easily came in, once again, to save him. But he didn't. Same goes for the final battle. Stark's plane being hijacked just begs for IM to show up and handle Vulture himself.

I wasn't expecting a team-up movie, but I read a lot of rumblings about people worrying that it would be. It wasn't, and the MCU has a better Spidey moving forward because of it.

This movie was amazing. I think the Mk47 was perfect in its role. Still not planning to pick it up, as I have the Mk46, but a very cool addition to your guys collection and I can't wait to see some pictures.
