^^^^ I haven't read too many complaints from folks owning the original Mark I regarding this figure (least in this thread) Most v1 owners including myself say it looks like the one we already have with a few upgrades, no big deal :dunno

:exactly:

With you completely Darkseed

I own the original HT Mark I release and gotta say this is very nice upgrade. I really like the little enhancements/extras such as the flame and display base.

I'm sure the gap everyone is concerned about will fixed in final production. One would hope so. It actually looks like the waist armor might of slid down a bit as there is no gap between the top edge of the thigh armor and it.

What i take away from this pic... is that Hot Toys now use Photoshop far too much in their previews, not one pic of the 2.0 as it'd appear in reality without all the busy background stuff.

My post isn't intented for those who are happy about this figure. But throughout many other threads discussing upcoming released and re-releases, so many have been complaining about all the re-releases and how it will affect the value of their original versions.

I love that this is being re-released. And I don't care how many versions of something they make.

Guess, usually, people who complain are the ones who have bought the Mark 1 (or any other figure) at an inflated price. And this cribbing makes sense; I mean you pay through your nose for something and the next thing you get to know is that a 'better' figure is being released. Would piss me off too, but only for some time. That's the fun of being a collector, you win some, lose some.

Just sold my old Mark I after seeing these proto pics of the new 2.0 Aside from the new improved HS & flame effects, I don't see any difference on the features so what's the use of the old one but to make a profit out of it right?

And how the Hot Toys are more resembling Hasbro than a limited collectible company, not just in remakes but in focusing on the same licenses over and over without expanding other derserved ones.

I think this looks great, better than the original but not too much better,.

But it's again more of the same license, i've grown too bored of Iron Man to spend anymore money on them, i've got 4 (previously 5) HT Iron Man figures and that's enough for any one license.

Depends on whether you want the original or your happy with the V2 if your happy with the V2, why not.

I've sold all my Iron men figures (exept V1) and recently turned down the silly thing gun metal as they will no longer increase in value, now that people know there could be a reissue just round the corner.
I'm now going for ones that would be hard to improve such as T800, DX 06 Sparrow etc

Just saw this. When is this going up for sale?

Couple of years ago :lol

Superman is also on its way as we speak :hi5: i also cannot see how this can be improved thats why i had to get it

This could have been the exact same figure in a different box.

From what I can see with the side by side comparisons, the armor is "smaller" meaning in different poses you see more of the TrueType underneath whereas the original looked bulkier. I'm trying to figure out whether or not the little holographic version is worth dropping free shipping from SSC.

All of these little add-ons to the Mech Test Tony, makes me really regret passing on that figure.

Looking good! The new Tony Stark head sculpt looks unreal! Now I wonder what the PO price would be...
