By not including it, they're making everyone speculate that he's not going to use it. In SW, I would think the bigger spoiler would be that there's going to be no lightsabers.

That's the ANH Vader, you can tell by the base.
The base is the same but the amour is over the tunic. That and it's displayed with all of the upcoming releases... It does look a lot like the in hand pics of the ANH that I own however...
Still a great looking Vader.

Just noticed the tunic under armor, but then the helmet looks matte finish like the ANH. Maybe the lightsaber is also from the ANH Vader?
Yeah perhaps it's a early prototype? The promo pics are so deceiving if this is it. The inhand pics never look as good. Looking at the ANH promo pics, my figure does not look like those pics..

I love HT's ANH Vader. There's something about the oversized helmet dome, rough finish of the helmet, and tunic over the shoulder armor that I like more than the other Vaders. I can't explain why, the first SW movie I saw in a theater was Empire, but ANH Vader is just how he should look to me.

Couldn't care less about the missing light saber. Wouldn't pose it with him anyways. They fixed the gloves and that's what I've been waiting for. Ordered!

A saber should be included, but Darth Vader is very often badass without it. He can certainly pull off being saber-less.

True. Vader is menacing regardless of a lightsaber. But with no force-choke hand or "Captain Antilles" death grip hand... he's just kinda going to be sitting there twiddling his thumbs on his belt.
He's got some "Join me" and "You don't know the powa of tha Dark Side" hands though, I guess.
