Yeah! Having the great Medicom X3 fig with the X-men uniform i would want a Logan in Jeans to go with it. The above pic would be ideal.

I hope it's true.
I really want some other X-Men characters though. Cyclops, Storm, and Kitty Pryde top my list.

Well here is the thing. People have been wondering if HT got a Marvel Studios or a Marvel Films license. The difference being that Marvel Studios is only films like Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, The Avengers, Captain America (films like Marvel is self financing, producing and distributing). Marvel Films means all characters that are film entities, which would include Wolverine: Origins but would also span one would think backdating to the X-Men films, Spider-Man films, Blade, Fantastic Four, Daredevil, etc. Koto has one of these licenses were they can go back and forth between projects. Securing this license in actuality means we could get a tons of other figures that were Marvel films or at minimum means that figures from films like Spider-Man 4 and other upcomings have a great chance of being done.

Nice! That does pretty much confirm it. We should see it in the newsletter this month. I'll definitely buy a Logan.

I wouldn't expect it for a bit. We're still waiting on the Watchmen license announcement, then again Watchmen is on hold due to DCD while nothing would be stalling Wolverine so we might see it first.

Someone over at OSW was hinting a couple of weeks ago that Marvel fans should start saving their money for a big announcement from Hot Toys. I think this could be bigger than just Wolverine.

I wouldn't expect it for a bit. We're still waiting on the Watchmen license announcement, then again Watchmen is on hold due to DCD while nothing would be stalling Wolverine so we might see it first.

There seems to be a lot of speculation about the Watchmen figures, but what do we really know?
Is it possible that the film's performance has somehow effected the release of the figures?
I have to imagine they are taking a bath on those Spirit figures.
Again, I know absolutely nothing but I wouldn't be surprised to see more of a push for Wolverine, arguably just below Superman and Batman in the public consciousness, than for characters that have a strong cult following and almost no interest from the general public.

That would be neat, for some reason I don't see Hot Toys doing any of the X-men (from previous films) or Spidey. For sure don't see em doing Daredevil, Elektra, F4 and Punisher.

I could have seen them doing Punisher. In fact I was surprised we didn't get a War Zone Punisher from them. I'm pissed about it actually.

And I could see Spidey once Spider-man 4 comes out. They may do X-men figures if the Wolverine ones sell well enough. But yeah, no Elektra or Daredevil.

The general film returns have no effect on any wave ones. Any first wave is planned so far in advance that the film's box office isn't really a factor. What it IS a factor is, is in any further offerings from the lines. Also many different sites have claimed to have confirmed inside information that The Comedian, Rorschach and Nite Owl II are the first wave. Not to mention HT has been teasing it, just like TDK they can't release until they get the green light from DCD, until then they can only tease....I would bet good money that if HT didn't have to wait until DCD's release they'd have announced and previewed way in advance.

I'm actually shocked too. I didn't expect a full line but at least the man himself.

Just because they can doesn't mean they will. If they are going to go back I have a feeling they'll do it during the lull that is next year.

No. What I meant is that they may not go back and do the previous Marvel releases even though they could. All signs are pointing to at least a couple of figures from Wolverine: Origins. Unlike Medicom and Sideshow HT likes to first wave in twos so I would imagine we'd get Wolvie and Sabretooth out of the blocks.

Hot Toys Wolverine figure for real? Teased on FaceBook

This cropped up on Hot Toys facebook page this weekend- a link to the Wolverine:Origins trailer and "Will the joke come true?" (referring to the Cool Toy Review Hot Toys X-Men April Fools' joke)

This would seem to be a pretty strong hint that we're going to actually, at least, get a Wolverine figure based on the new film, unless Hot Toys is geting into the habit of ^^^^ing with us....

They've been teasing Watchmen since before that film came out so who knows at this point. I've received PMs and emails from people who swear its coming from HT but nothing anyone can confirm from a magazine or HT reps or anything along those lines. The reality is that Watchmen has to wait for the greenlight from DCD but nothing is stalling Wolverine, so if we do get one it'll be announced soon.
