Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I tried too and couldn't. I really tried too i think i watched the whole first season

Not because of kief either he is very good in it

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Some seasons were better than others, but I dunno - I REALLY liked the first season. Several of the episodes were a slow burn, but if you can sit through them, you'll be well rewarded. The ending was so unexpected, and there's someone in particular who becomes a recurring nemesis for Bauer in a few other seasons.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I'll give it a try, because it's coming form someone who thinks Mask of the Phantasm is the greatest Batman movie ever. :lecture

It most certainly is :lecture

I have a feeling that you'll really enjoy 24. Just start from season one and work your way through :hi5:

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I've only seen Seesons 1&2 of 24, and I can't see how anyone could dislike season 1. It's amazing, and Keifer is a great actor. My issue with him playing big boss is that he IS jack Bauer, so no purely for that reason.

On MGSV, no it's not getting released episodically. It's ground Zeroes soon then The Phantom Pain maybe around Winter. It's great that GZ is coming sooner, I couldn't wait till winter for a taste of this game. Again people stop complaining!!!

Kojima likened MGS V to a TV series, instead of a blockbuster movie (like the previous entries). Hence, DLCs :lol.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

i for one against DLC's because parts of the world like where i live in have a slow connection.. 1 game takes me about 12 hours to download "5GB"

so now that the games are getting bigger .. it'll be a nightmare for me to download .

I can see that being a huge issue for a lot of people. Personally, I despise DLCs. They gobble up the space on my hard drive, and I constantly have to delete other things just to accommodate new DLCs.

I hope that Konami eventually releases everything on disk.

I wouldn't say that Konami is there yet, but they're certainly headed that way. The only blockbuster franchise that they have is MGS. So, in order for their company to succeed, this franchise needs to succeed :rotfl. Which it most certainly will... Provided that they don't somehow manage to screw up the release for MGS V.

Funny thing is, as bad as Capcom is... they still have more horses to run than Konami. Konami ruined Silent Hill and MGS is there only leg to stand on. Personally I don't like the direction Street Fighter is going, and Resident Evil needs no explanation. Devil May Cry is ruined, DMC was a failure with sales.

"MGSV: The Last of Them. Please."

Btw, have you finished TLOU, Solidus? I think it has some of the most compelling narratives I've ever experienced in a game, yet the longest cutscene in that game is a mere 7 minutes! :lol

That's because of all the live gameplay chatter between characters. We don't need a near 2 hour cutscene in Eastern Europe with a guy mock firing bullets out of his fingers :rotfl

Yeah, I totally love how compact the storytelling is. The amount of cutscenes in MGS4 is outlandishly ridiculous, despite me loving it anyway.

Hey Pliss, got time? I think you'll love this, such an depth, honest opinion on MGS4.

I skimmed it, but I did watch most of the ending to it. He's spot on that Kojima milked a lot of his success with the former games by making this Frankenstein monster of a game called MGS4 which was composed of a mix mash of all the games together. MGS4 really doesn't have an identity at all, it tried to be so many different things at once. And yeah, the briefing cutscenes killed any pacing.

And I've said it before and I'll say it again. Kojima keeps trying to get another blockbuster hit with the prequels with trying to make another Snake Eater clone.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

That poster looks freaking fantastic, who cares if it looks like the one for TLOU? :lol every single poster ever released for anything (movie or video game) Is either cliché or a copy of another poster.

That front face in the front and profile on the back has been done to death, but it still looks cool.
