Nothing beats The Best is Yet to Come :lecture

But I do like Donna Burke :lol

It honestly felt like I was watching a music video. It doesn't really fit MGS appropriately, but I liked the song :rotfl.

That's what it was :lol it showed a lot more than I hoped.

Well I was listening to 'Gods of Ice' from DragonHeart right before I saw the trailer, and jumping from metal to that felt weird :lol

Btw I hope Kojima shows some base management gameplay, I'm dying to see what can be done with Outer Heaven :drool

In any case, does anyone have any theories on what's going on with Foxhound? There hasn't been any mention of it, whatsoever. I wonder why "Diamond Dogs" even has to exist in the first place...

Well why don't we focus on this? Maybe it's a way to further unite the troops, saying that their like worthless coal apart, but together they're like an I breakable diamond. I don't think something so cheesy is completely out of no where. Or he rescues slaves from a diamond trade and does it to gain their allegiance. Being that Big Boss is such a war fanatic, "dogs" seems pretty appropriate. Experience soldiers are called war dogs, because they complete the mission without question. I could be way off, but what are all your thoughts?

I watched it again and still don't think the trailer is very good as a game trailer

The song doesn't fit and it's not showing anything that exciting or making me want to play the game honestly

It's not even that dark really, putting a bag over hueys head, him covered in blood and screaming (could be over millers body, you see him with his arm and leg blown off but unsurprisingly he's sunglasses are still on pristine :slap really hitting the 'real' immersion feel with that one)

For some reason I get a feeling BB is being set up and being drove to madness, so it's not even a descent into madness from within himself. It's an outward force pushing him strengthening the misunderstood hero

The one positive I did take is I like the ponytail look

I hate the horn and the big red fake arm, it just looks silly and would be totally un stealthy

I won't go through the previous pages, but I guess everyone saw the trailer, I saw it this morning. I watched it a couple of times in Japanese and English (1080p) its not bad at all, the music is ****ing ugly... Just ew, at first I wasn't sure about REX's head on that MG but after a few seconds I realized I love REX and I love to see his grandpa looks like him. I'm more worried about Skully again... :gah: that guy is a mistery, I bet he will join Big Boss to destroy Zero, and I think I saw Quiet wearing a BDU

It's effing Mike Oldfield, Henry. Shame on you.

Nope, I think in about 2 hours the official reveal will come.

You can steam it live on your ps3 or ps4 I believe.

Thanks for letting me know! Hopefully I'll see it live! I have to use that ps4 for something!

I find that Gamespot has been a lot better in commentary than IGN. I just can't stand Greg Miller.

I do find myself missing X-Play a lot, though.

I like that they championed the star system of ratings, and opted out of metacritic. It shows that they just cared about helping the customer. What's the difference between a 8.4 and an 8.6? It just becomes a weird competition. I didn't agree with a lot of their reviews though!

I have to put Calling to the Night up there with it. They're both beautiful to me!

The ponytail is a good look, and another nice difference between Big Boss and Solid.

That's an interesting perspective :lol. I think it's possible, that somewhere along the way, Diamond Dogs doesn't work out - which is usually the case when Kaz and Big Boss try something new. I just wonder how it all fits together with Foxhound. I thought that the unit should have been established already, since the timeline of TPP is set in the mid eighties.

The trailer is lackluster, indeed. Instead of showing something new and fresh, it feels like a simple continuation of what we saw at last year's E3.

I have to say, that the one thing that I never liked, was the changing discourse of Big Boss's story over the years. Prior to MGS 4, he was just a war-profiteering mercenary - who'd sell and purchase weapons of mass destruction simply for power and profit. He was like a political analogy for Capitalism gone wrong :lol. But, now, his storyline has been entrenched in all of these personal issues, and his motivations don't make any sense whatsoever. I'm wondering how this "madness" will affect him, because for one thing, he seemed to be in his right mind at the end of MGS 4. That's just odd.

Henry needs a good lashing! :lecture

Just watched the trailer 3 times, looks good. I like the ponytail, but I hate that stupid horn on his head

The head horn has been the subject of a lot of disdain. Aesthetically, it's the oddest thing that could have ever been added to Big Boss.

I've actually seen people like the horn, plus, it's shrapnel, what's odd about that? I'd think the mech arm is far weirder considering the time period, but that ship sailed with PW :lol

Dude, why are you feeding him with more images of the female species? :lol

Because Henry needs these to live :lecture.
