At this point I think I'm all done with rumors, conjectures and expectations, when this comes out, I'm just gonna get a **** ton of food and drinks, get comfy, soak in the atmosphere and enjoy the **** out of this game until I pass out, I want to at least get a few surprises

I think I'm going to do the same. I'll probably abandon this thread in about a month or so before the game comes out so that I can stay away from spoilers.

Depending on how this turns out, I may cancel my pre-order for the LE.

I've also read that Skull Face wouldn't have a major role like we previously thought . The voice actor, James Horan, said he was given a sparse amount lines for TPP. He also couldn't even remember his lines, or Kojima's name for that matter.

I'm considering just getting an LE in the after market considering I got Rising's real cheap.

I'm considering just getting an LE in the after market considering I got Rising's real cheap.

Well, Skull Face was set-up as the main antagonist in Ground Zeroes, and given his role in raping Paz, torturing Chico, and destroying Mother Base with XOF, it's VERY strange that he doesn't have a significant role in TPP.

Agreed. It's a bit of a ghost town these days.

Can't say I'm surprised. I'm very concerned at credits after every mission. The immersion in the story and emotional heft will be completely lost.

There nothing left to say i think, other than the little impressions we got, which sound amazing! This potentially could be the best MGS yet, although that thought was also present from all the MGS4 hype and we know how that ended up.

Credits after each mission is a non issue, itll either be patched out, and/or definitely skip-able


I hope we dont get too much from e3 since the game comes out so soon. Even though im dying to see Kojima say something about anything

Yeah, I think this will be eclipsed by MGS1-2-3... like everything else in the main series. I was pretty pessimistic about this when the game was announced years ago, since I had the awfulness of PW still fresh in my mind... then I became a little more optimistic... now I'm back to pessimism after the latest news... oh well, it can't possibly be any worse than Peace Walker.

Kojima can't help but fix stuff that doesn't need to be. Just stick with a gritty story, and leave some things to the imagination for god sake. This is why the original trilogy is so loved.

Isnt that why he trying to do with TPP as well? Chico is Quiet, Big Boss is Gray Fox, unknown man in fire but possibly volgin but maybe not , Psycho mantis , Eli is Liquid snake and other conspiracy theory

That does make it even weirder. Unless it's really going to be Zero behind everything, and Kojima is trying to hide him like Raiden in the previews of MGS2.

PW's weirdness was in my head too since I just finished it around the time MGS V got announced. And yeah, Kojima muddling with numerous story elements that don't need fixing has killed some of the series. Bastardizing the Boss's will, reducing the philosophers, everything about Big Boss. None of this was necessary.

Im talking in the cotext of the previews weve seen, they gush with lots of great sounding info. I was anticipating MGS4 to be the best from all he hype before that game too.

I do have high hopes again though, i liked Ground Zeroes quite alot, i just wish there was more content to judge from

I think this is the first real PS4 game PS+ has gotten, even if its super short. I'm surprised they didn't leave it till August.
