The fact the game is so long, and that it is essentially a game of mini-games is partially what makes me think about it being a none-numbered main title. The V just so happens to be a coincidence. but i suppose it could also mean the title has a double meaning and it means 5 and also it is named after Snake.

I think What Kiva is saying is what if this game is actually more of Peace Walker than a real numbered title in the series. Because so far every numbered title in the series has expanded the lore, and has gone in depth with the story, MGSV feels more like a one off. It might have like 2 or 3 things that actually play a huge part in the overall story of the series.

Buzzword was used correctly.

No, you didn't use it correctly. Tell me some common buzzwords that are used in this thread.

What if MGSV is not MGS5? Is it beyond Kojima to trick us like that? We know V in context of the game is codename for a character. So technically it is Metal Gear Sold " character name here " in the literal sense.

I remember Kojima said that Peace Walker was essentially MGS 5, but because it was a portable release, they didn't give it a number.

As for MGS V (or MGS 5), as long as it's a "Hideo Kojima game", it's canon. Plus, even though this game was sloppily put together, it had the biggest budget of any main title release, thus far.

I did.

I can make a list, but I won't, I'm just gonna say a few; Dudebros, George Lucas, Nolan etc etc.

Trust me, I can make a list.

Nolan, George Lucas, and even dudebros aren't buzzwords for anyone or anything, they're comparisons.

The only thing that's close to a buzzword is Ryan's "Inbred REX" (which actually sounds better than that long ass name I refuse to type).

Didn’t a lot of that budget go towards the FOX engine though? I could have sworn I read that some where.

I ordered the LE guide off Amazon, since I own all the others. It's the biggest one they've done, 415 pages. There's a big artwork section, plus the typical timeline/series synopsis. Only ran $21.

They are buzzwords, at least here, very much so, you need to check the definition yourself, comparisons can also be buzzwords.

And no, Inbred Rex isn't a buzzword.

I have it, its pretty cool, but Europe gets the way better version of it. We get 1 lithograph they get 3, and they have the luxury of having the awesome Shinkawa artwork as their cover.

Sometimes I read this thread I think I'm in the dragon sh figuarts thread but it's understandable something you love turns to ****.

I never use guides :lol. The only thing I'd be interested in is the lithograph. Didn't someone from KojiPro say they're releasing a separate artbook?

Yup, since 2010 :lol. It's just a shame that the FOX engine ended up looking so cross-generational (<--- by the way, that's a buzzword, Gaspar).

Popular in Internet and Online Advertising, Buzzword is used to describe any trendy or newly made-up word or phrase that is used more to impress consumers than explain the product or technology

a word or phrase, often an item of jargon, that is fashionable at a particular time or in a particular context.

Nolan and George Lucas are two actual people whose works are frequently compared when describing movies, or literature. They're not jargon words or phrases. Dudebros is a slang term to describe mindless fanboys that's used in a lot of other places, not only this thread.

I’d like to see the a FOX engine game strictly current gen. P.T. looked incredible, but it was also pretty much one small hallway.

I have a ways to go, but the intro scene and Mission 20 made me pretty angry that P.T was canned. Low texture details aside, KojiPro made use of really good lighting by using the FOX engine - and that would look remarkable in a horror game.

Sigh. Those are being used as buzzwords here, it can be a name, it can be jargon, it can be a phrase.

Nolan and Lucas are buzzwords in this thread, even in the whole board.

Dudebros is a buzzword in general. And like I said there are many more.

I can't believe I have to explain this, let alone be specific about such a pointless topic, I was in fact going to post that definition, change it to memes if you must, both make sense and both are correctly used.

The only reason I brought it up, was when you started criticizing other people who've actually finished MGS V. There's no need to PC the thread, when you've just started the game.

Words you don't agree with don't automatically qualify as "buzzwords", either. You're still using it incorrectly, but whether you want to accept that or not is up to you.

You think those guys can be bad? You haven't seen the DBZ Facebook groups, specifically the SH Figuarts ones :lol such poison!

Yeah, this is the same thing Henry did with the older games to everyone else (I was only finishing up the games when I joined here). Don't be another Henry, Gaspar, we don't need that.

All I'm saying, is that you might love this game, or you might hate it :lol. There's absolutely no telling. The one thing about MGS V, is that it seems very unpredictable about how fans receive it. I'm not sure how my opinions will change as I play more. Even though I complained a lot before, I'm going in with an open mind. I love the missions so far (I'm on Mission 21 right now), but I would've liked to have seen some more cutscenes....
