Maria is more of a buy because of Fury and Coulson. I wouldn't really buy any to display by themselves.

There's certainly some truth in that. I don't have Fury or Coulson but now that I think about it, Hill will feel out of place I think in my display.

Yeh I have Hill and Fury on order so seeming I have been saying I wanted a Coulson after buying my first IM I really should get that sorted

I originally missed out on both Coulson and Fury, gradually wanting Fury and then deciding Coulson had to be with him. I got a pretty decent deal from a member here for both this past summer.

I like Maria but I wouldn't have ordered her without those two.

I ordered Maria without having Coulson or Fury. I still have no interest in Coulson, but the TWS Fury is now very tempting...

I sold Fury and Coulson but ordered her anyway but Im displaying her with the AoU figures so she'll look like part of the group.

Even though she's part of the AoU line, I actually feel Hill would fit better with the A1 line.

I just realized that the base she comes with is much thicker than the standard ones we got with Fury and Coulson. There's a chance she might TOWER over them on my shelf.

This is why I'm not a fan of those new bases. They don't match the rest of the collection. The best option is to buy a blank base or one from someplace like Toy Anxiety and get a new label for it from member EVILFACE.

I had an extra Avengers 1 Thor base lying around, and I had EVILFACE make me a replacement name plate that says MARIA HILL. Stuck it on top of the Thor name and voila! Matching base.

There's no doubt they look nice with the gold name plates and the paint designs, but I feel that you're somewhat limited being that you feel like you have to position them head on; they don't really look too good when you display them at an angle due to the shape and size. With the oval shaped ones, you can place the figure on the base and simply maneuver the base to angle the figure in any particular direction.

I agree, much prefer the black oval ones. These new style ones might be nice looking, but they take up so much damn space!! I try to avoid using them where possible.
