Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AOU - Hulkbuster

I'm kind of with you on that. I love the added light up repulsors of the VII, but somehow the III looks meatier and more imposing. It's close though, so I certainly can see why someone prefers the VII.

With that being said The Huklbuster is calling to me bad. I want that bad boy.

The Hulkbuster is a unique suit so well worth owning I think..., it'll certainly have a commanding presence that's for sure. How long ago did you get the mark III legendary scale figure? I can find the mark VII easy but not the mark III..., although for the money being asked I'm thinking maybe 4 premium formats might be better. :)

Got the Mark III in 2010, maybe 2011. I don't exactly remember. think I'm going senile lol.

I think so. To be honest even if the did a Mark 42 LS or another suit I'll pass. They take up so much room I think I'll draw the line at two LS maquettes.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AOU - Hulkbuster

No I made them. Actually I made everything in the picture beyond the plantation shutters and the framed posters.

Btw if by asymmetrical you're referring to the lack of a third poster, that is temporary. Right now they don't have IM 3 or Avengers posters, where I got those framed pictures.

Excellent work

As for the asymmetrical comment, that was in reference to the whole set up. For instance, if the shelf unit were between the 2 statues above that cabinet it would be more symmetrical.

I am a creature of symmetry and my OCD would not allow that but it looks fantastic so don't lend any weight to my character flaw

I'd probably feel the same, I think the mark 3 & 7 are the definitive Iron Man suits really..., others are nice to have but those 2 you have are the key one's to get (in my opinion).

Oh okay. The cabinet is above my desk. its symmetrical after that haha, or it will be when I get the third framed poster.

I need to build a big cabinet on the other side of the room for all of my Hot Toys IM figures. The amount just from IM 3 is just crazy, and I don't think they are done milking that yet lol. Hulk buster will take a good chunk of real estate as well.

Actually I think 1/4 scale in poly stone is my favorite. I have the Mark XLII and Iron Patriot in 1/4 scale arriving soon and I think I'm more excited for those than even the Mark VII LS.

That's the way I see it... If a diecast VII comes out, I may well grab it, but that'll be it for me... I'm hoping the 43 turns out to be more than a two second gimmick. I'm taking a bit of a gamble ordering it purely on 'definitiveness' at this stage, but I do like the appearance of it..

If I was ever to go a quarter scale or larger, it would have to be III or VII...

Just checked and I got the Mark III March of 2011. Boy time goes by so fast!

I love the Mark II 1/4 scale that SideShow is putting out, and as tempted as I am, think I'll pass. Thought about using reward points, but I'm going to save those for the Hulkbuster. That is unless something even more mind blowing turns up.

I have been pondering as to whether or not to get those 2 myself..., as I've got more than 1 example of each I've been waiting for the other statues to go up for preorder in the 1:4 scale, mark III to VII would be instantly ordered but I may yet get the mark 42 & I've also been looking at Gentle Giant's 1:4 scale Iron Man statues.

I think a mark VII in diecast should be the next earlier suit that they revisit in that format, seems logical to me anyway..., I'd want that one before any of the others anyway. The mark 43 looks great, hopefully it'll last longer than other suits but I'm glad to be getting it all the same. :)
