Great shots Knl01! Thanks for posting.
The muzzle needs to be trimmed back at about the tip of his nose. If they did that the profile (with hair) would be a lot better. Can't the HT creative team see this?
Personally I'm not sure reconstruction customizing is something I want to do to a high $ figure.

What's going on with HT lately anyway? Their likenesses are getting worse.

I can see Hot Toys releasing an "Empire" version of Chewie with the broken-up 3PO in the bag, to go along with a Bespin Leia.

I dunno I feel like characters like R2, 3PO, and Chewie I only need one of each. I'd be sorta tempted by Chewie wearing the bag with 3PO's broken parts though.

They keep brushing the hair under his muzzle, tight against his neck, instead of letting it hang a little looser like a beard (as someone pointed out earlier in the thread somewhere).

Yup. I really do think a little fur futzing will do wonders for this guy...



...Is it perfect? Nope (welcome to the wonderful world of 1:6 scale collectibles). Still, it works for me!

EvilFace does a lot of these Jim, check out his thread. His custom decals etc are fantastic. He supplies vinyl name cutouts as well as logo's for the bases. Those stands look like his work.

I met Dave Prowse earlier this year and he was the same. In his chair the whole time, I guess time is taking its toll on our childhood actors.

I met David 20 years ago and he looked rough then. Have not seen him lately.

Hot Toys often tweaks their prototype sculpts to make them more accurate.

The fact that Chewie is not released with C-3PO back/pack, chain and breather mask tells us that HT’s is open to the idea of multiple releases. I would love to have this but I assume the price of a ESB/ROTJ Chewie would cost more and $250 is a high enough price for me.
