Not to worry. Apparently they are also resourcing frozen Wooly Mammoths from the Siberian tundra.

Mmmmm...extinction.

Many of you who are collecting now will be (hopefully) married in the near future -- some with children -- by the time the next version of Chewbacca comes out. You will not have the time, nor the finances, to buy the next Chewbacca... and you may not even care.

I have seen many pass through these forums on their way to real life. Few return.

So enjoy the Now. It disappears quickly.
Man, this is certainly a familiar sentiment.

I have nothing but disposable income now, but my girlfriend (who hates my figures) loves to remind me that once we are married with children the collecting will have to significantly slow down if not stop.

Guess il have to stock up on the essentials now. And what is more essential than the Star Wars figures!

Stop reminding me this is real life. My collecting has slowed to a crawl since baby #2 came along. Only the essentials...and a few others which I wind up selling off due to tightness in the ol' wallet.

I got lucky, my girlfriend loves my figures.

well my children are grown and the wife hates the dollies but she puts up with my eccentricities;as long as she gets bath and body works/clothing/Victoria's secret witch is as much of a nightmare for my wallet as my dollies.:panic::horror:slap

They will always be called Action Figures under my roof. Any mention of the word "Doll" and you will be removed from the property.

Doll, action figure, collectible, toys, whatever. In my opinion, you sound much more childish arguing about what they're called than you do just calling them dolls or what have you. :LOL

I know better than to call figures "dolls" around here. It's a bit too confronting.:lol

I try to think this way, but people still call them dolls. It doesn't bother me. I know they are, but I still love'em. A Louisvillian, huh? I grew up there.
