Does anyone else feel this license and people's excitement in HT has let HT sort of half-@$$ these Star Wars pieces with their mindset that people will just buy it anyway?

I don't know... I'm just not seeing the same level of real effort put in to some of these works in progress or final pieces standing up to the likes of their other efforts in properties such as Marvel and DC and other movie 1/6 scale likenesses and details.

I've been pretty underwhelmed by a handful of these announcements already and well... being this is Hot Toys... I always expect a home run knocked out of the park. With Vader, Chewie, Han.... It's just more like, "Oh.. ok." And not "THERE'S that definitive figure I've been waiting for!"

if they put as much effort into these as their Iron Man line....

While I wouldn't say they are being lazy, I'd agree 100% that everything (bar the Stormtroopers and 1:4 Fett) are lacking the definitiveness they've achieved with a lot of other licenses.
