<sigh> what a pain in the ***... I wouldn't care but my son keeps asking to hear it... So if I go through with removing and putting back in the batteries I have to switch it off (which I thought I did last time) within 15 minutes or the kill-Switch engages. If the switch does not engage I can just turn him on next time and he should work?

What I've read is that the kill switch is what makes the effects mess up . So you have to turn it off, strip the figure, take the batteries out, put them back in, turn it back on and listen to the effects before the auto switch off kicks in

I think it was December, at the same time I PO'd Obi Wan. Weirdly though, I didn't get an email. I was setting up a two hour window for my Batman Returns set and saw another tracking number linked to my address, and I checked SSC and Vader shipped.

Yes i know, late to the Vader Party,, but now im thinking of getting this guy,, with all the small things (battery location,,mods,etc...) ,this worth the price or would SSC Vader be a better option?

Currently i have Bespin Luke, Han ,Chewy, Stormy Luke, Sandtrooper, and Leia on PO.
Thinking maybe i can post this guy with Bespin Luke, if that's the case maybe i should just wait it out for a ESB Vader,, if HT makes him....

East coast here too. I get mine in the middle of the night as well but this particular order is all *** backwards for whatever reason.

Trying out the sideshow body suit on my vader. Pic in natural outside light......did modify belt using my first destroyed belt. Now with velcro instead of that clasp buckle action

I did get a notice the the Hot Toys 1/6 Fett was shipping sooner than expected though.

Looks good, Matt. I should get my SS suit in a couple days. There are some things I like better about the HT suit, like how the lines taper on the arms as they get closer to the gloves, as Talibane pointed out, but I think the upper legs look far better in the ANH SS suit. Too beefy and stubby in the HT suit. Anyhow, looking forward to trying this one out.

What are your thoughts?

This suit was a serious pain in the butt. I put the HT upper body suit, and it gets tight in the shoulders. Go slow and steady!

ANH Vader is my favorite Vader look as well!

To me, there's just something about him that makes him more menacing looking than the other versions. Perhaps it's his chest box not blinking so therefore, it doesn't add any bright colors to him or perhaps it's the fact that he has the tunic over his shoulder armor, giving him a darker appearance. Or the fact that his armor has more of a matte finish as opposed to a glossy black finish.

Maybe it's just all of the above.

For some reason, not quite sure why, I'm keeping all my OT hot toys stock.
Great mods in here though.
