ANH Vader is my favorite Vader look as well!

To me, there's just something about him that makes him more menacing looking than the other versions. Perhaps it's his chest box not blinking so therefore, it doesn't add any bright colors to him or perhaps it's the fact that he has the tunic over his shoulder armor, giving him a darker appearance. Or the fact that his armor has more of a matte finish as opposed to a glossy black finish.

Maybe it's just all of the above.

Yeah in ANH he just seemed like he would get his hands dirty. Next two he lost the battle to pledge or something

For some reason, not quite sure why, I'm keeping all my OT hot toys stock.
Great mods in here though.

You know, you might get the itch to mod them later...especially if re-leases or other versions aren't better by a stellar margin. I'm not always in the mood to mod. And other times...you can't stop me.

Got the figure back together. Put the batteries in the belt boxes...what a PITA. Even turning them on is ridiculous. This will probably be the only time I use them. But I think the paint job turned out pretty good.

Ah, whenever they say they will do a second run of a figure and say they will improve it, I think that's more of a 2.0 version than it is a true second wave of a particular figure. To me, a true second wave would be simply producing more of the exact same figure without any changes, due to high demand and them feeling there's still more money to be made off of it.

If you start making alterations to where it's an upgraded version, that becomes a 2.0 to me and not a second run of an already existing figure.

I'm happy with the mods I did to mine, I wouldn't part with it for the world. Not even an upgrade. I think mine is the only one I know of that has a custom made leather codpiece lol

I was actually watching the movie while I was doing this (which I recommend, it was fun) and I noticed how jacked up Vaders helmet and mask was. I kinda went for that. It is a bit heavy handed (intentionally) but it is more subdued in person.
