Can't wait for the ESB, ROTJ and ROTS version

Beautiful shot, shadow. It does however confirm my feelings about the nose insert. Seems to stick out just a bit on a lot of them.

Thanks Ton2x,

Yeh the nose insert really bug me, but I don't have the courage to split open the helmet to do the nose mod.

yup. me too... the nose was a real problem for me too, but as I was in the middle of modding... HAD to do it... I think it makes the WORLD of difference!

I took a very conservative approach to the nose (for the time being). I removed it from the front, I think James the Cat noted that you can get it out with an exacto by slowly working the sides, then eventually since it sticks out just a bit I was able to pull it down and out with my finger nail. I sanded the back down just a bit so that it no longer sticks out but is instead just even with the outer nose (didn't want to paint), and also sanded underneath a bit too to make it smaller overall.

Again mostly a subtle adjustment more than going for total accuracy.

Omg so there is a way to mod the nose without splitting open the helmet! Thank you Ton2x!

It's just this solid piece of plastic, take what you see and just elongate it, I think the back was just flat.

You can see most of it from looking from underneath the mouth grille. It's maybe half a centimeter in total and seems to be held on with just a bit of glue.

Sweet! Mod mode on! Thanks heaps once again!

Do be careful as the plastic for the insert and around the nose seems pretty soft, and the paint on the front of the nose scratches easily. I have two helmets and I scratched one down the middle of the nose with the exacto after things had gone so swimmingly with the first one, so I backed off and have left that one as is...for now. Look forward to more pics!

Don't think I'll bother with the battery gimmicks. So what does he say?
I love the Medicom quotes.

What is the deal with this, because one minute I'm hearing that SSC have started shipping them out again, the next minute I am hearing HT are making improvements? I paid for this thing in full back in January and would be nice to know when I am actually going to see it!

RE: Hot Toys making improvements...was a rumor that was started on this forum.
Think of us collectors as someone that's smoked too much weed and are conspiracy theorizing everything. We might actually be right about a small percentage of our ramblings, but most of the time, we should just go eat a bag of chips.

:rotfl ... Just wishful thinking on our part since it's so confusing how Hot Toys can do so much right, then do something stupid and inconceivable like the way they did the sound effects on this. An "important" feature done so wrong and they didn't see it.... Baffling... :(

It's VERY baffling! But, if I were to guess, I'd say it all comes down to final deadlines and staying within an acceptable production budget. Sucks...but that's probably why. We all wish these companies would consult outside experts first and get it right. I have to say....I've had fun modding my Vader, but that route isn't for everybody and can sometimes cause more frustration than reward.

My last flex was charged and Vader has shipped from SS. Guessing there was a cut off for stock and held back flex pays.

I love the Medicom quotes.

The standard quotes "I find you lack of faith disturbing" I forget the others. I just tried out the body electronics to make sure they work and will probably never put batteries in it again.
