Hot Toys - MMS477 / MMS478 - Star Wars Episode III: Obi-Wan Kenobi (Std & Dlx)

Still better than Sideshow who doesn’t offer discounts at all anymore (shipping or otherwise). Also Alter Ego has a rewards program which BBTS doesn’t have. I’m assuming by most they’re referring to standard releases and not more deluxe items or statues that weigh more and cost more to ship.

I feel like SS is focusing mainly on getting rid of the old TFA stock. The $50 is only good towards in-stock $200+ items. And I just got a $25 coupon for in-stock SW items since I ordered Obi Wan.

I they don't start giving TFA figures away (a lá Hot Toys Angelica) they will still be in stock when the trilogy ends. Good luck getting rid of them then.

Is Luke discounted yet? That’s the one figure from that film I’d still like to grab. Pretty much have the rest of what I want other than maybe Kylo.

PayPal credit + self control = better than flexpay.

You get your figure immediately and can pay off that price over 6 months from most retailers with no interest - including BBTS.

As long as you can pace yourself and make your own payments each month, it's absolutely brilliant. But as with any credit line it can be dangerous. It also doesn't effect your real credit score so that may or may not bother you.

The $50 off coupons that most people got worked on everything. I used mine from last summer on the DS gunner and some folks used it on K2, and I know some people just used the latest one on Han Stormtrooper.

Im thinking of doing the that when I order from AE. I can get the Royal Guard shipped for 189.00! Thanks to Ton's refer a friend- I get a 15 dollar off coupon and we both get reward points.

I think im still irked from it costing 20 and change for SS to ship Tarkin - CA to Indiana. Thats skimming if Ive ever seen it.

Eh as long as it wasn’t $50 or more for the deluxe, I don’t mind..the emperor/ Anakin accessory is pretty cool. I will say that I have my reservations going through BBTS with the huge delay on my Spidey HC :lecture but hopefully , that’s HT fault and not BBTS. Because I will never justify the NRDs with SSC..sorry :slap

This convinced me to at least preorder. Maybe might cancel later..but we’ll see

Always the people who cause NRD complaining about NRD.

I would add Jyn Erso even though Rogue One is a stand alone film I believe many people became attached to some of the characters being Jyn one of them.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS477 / MMS478 - Star Wars Episode III: Obi-Wan Kenobi (Std & Dlx)

Truly happy this guy and others are getting released for those wanting him and collect PT, but I just spent way too much time and money on hunting those damn 3 3/4 figures back in the day that that is all the money I’m handing the PT.
That might change with an HT Maul though.

I dunno , I realize it’s the usual point of view discussion, but I am really not seeing the likeness at all.

I think he sculpt it’s pretty weak , especially compared to Anakin....

Is it just to soon and people are still too excited about it to see any flaws?

Glad they are making it but they sculpt is , to me, a 7 at best.....

I passed on it for now. Which makes Anakin a pass also.

You guys really think the likeness is great?

I do think the likeness is great. Those pictures seem to reinforce that.

I'd have to agree. It's a really good likeness.

It has a great likness. One of their better ones IMO.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS477 / MMS478 - Star Wars Episode III: Obi-Wan Kenobi (Std & Dlx)

Yeah, pretty strong -- at the moment maybe a notch above production Anakin (think the hair piece on production sits a tiny bit off compared with the prototype) like father like son (see Farmboy Luke).

Waits for someone to put the red marks all over the sculpt to prove its bad.
