On the contrary, I feel that On.cc take the best pics because their pics can highlight everything that's wrong with a figure that normally gets overlooked by the naked eye in the promo pics, I prefer too see everything that's wrong with a figure first to determine wether I should purchase it or not instead of it being sugar-coated with photoshop as Hot Toys tends to use it in their prototype photos.

There's normal photography.. & then there's a penchant for garish light saturation. :lol

They're just as guilty of skewing the perspective of the pieces they snap.

Well, it did its job then. :lol

There now follows a short interlude.

The suit was formerly used in the Doctor Who four-parter, The Tenth Planet (1966).

But it wasn't a 'Doctor Who' costume as such, but a 1960s RAF High-Altitude Windak Pressure Suit, which gave it better production values.

The Star Wars Costume That's Recycled From A Doctor Who Episode

But... how come it changed colour?

Oh, and thanks, I've heard this before but it's always fascinating to see it.

The problem with the dome is that the brow doesn't extend far enough outwards and this is because they have the dome skirt pretty much circular, where it should be an oval with almost straight sides. Until they fix that they'll never get the dome right. And they need to slim the brow area vertically.

The leather suits looks horrible. The oversized leather folds are just all sorts of wrong. The suit should be almost smooth leather, not grainy.

And I agree the strap-on glove idea is really bad.

The belt boxes needs a serious overhaul as well as the chest box. Both in detail and size. In sixth scale the chest box should be 2.8 cm wide and high.

Star Wars fans are the worst, I nit pick details, but not that much, no matter what 1/6 figure of vader comes out, no one will be satisfied!!! Lol

That is a GREAT point. People can post stuff about nit-picking, but you're absolutely right, and it affects not just the look of the figure but gives a different impression of the character its meant to represent; the more aggressive-looking you make Vader the better, because that's his character, and making the dome circular rather than 'an oval with almost straight sides' blunts the aggression inherent in the design.

I looked at my SS Vader Deluxe last night and concluded there is no reason I need to buy this HT Vader.

The SS Vader is great figure at a great price!

I also have the Vader Mythos...Id love to get the new Premium format Vader coming out. Sadly, and at these nut cracking prices, I probably won't be able to.

They whined, moaned and complained like warrior poets; they whined, moaned and complained like Freaks, and forced Hot Toys to make requisite changes to Darth Vader.

That's because they always never get it right even though we try our hardest to let them know what to fix! :)

I'm content they just make it in the first place, just ask yourself 20 years ago if you ever thought you could own a near identical movie replica of the villain with life like details? Lol, that's how I see it, especially when all we had at the time were the Kenner toys.

Honestly though with the way toys are evolving I won't be surprised if the definitive edition of the 5.0 of this figure would include a sound box that we could all agree on would be over the top
