Whats funny about the IT-O Interrogator droid is that all source material on the size says it was .3 meters so just under 12inches and another says just over 13 inches. But if memory servers me right... it was larger than that in the movie, not by much tho. either way i'm very happy to get one. very impressed with this accessory. :pfft: Haters Gonna Hate.

The interrogator droid is supposedly made up of two astro mech domes....
Should be the size of r2's head x2+.....

Here is the picture I took at the SW tour... doesn't look like a circle to me.

I thought I read here that the dome is supposed to be a little bit egg shaped on the astromechs.

The shape they made it is accurate. seams most people on the E-nets just like to complain. they could literally shrink the droid down from the actual movie and people would complain about how its not movie accurate. Hahaha i think it looks awesome

Yep, it looks awesome. In regards to the stand, should be easy to rig something up that'll work, if one wants it separate from the DV stand. Who knows, maybe it will come packed with an optional stand for itself.

Seems, it's supposed to look like Artoo's heads sandwiched together....if you look carefully you'll notice some of the same details as any r2 unit.....
But yeah, astromech domes are egg shaped, not half spheres. Ask anyone from the r2 builders club....

That said, sure it looks awesome, but when you realize what it is made from, ideally it should be much bigger....same size as Artoo where it counts.

Collectors give their input because sometimes, the companies listen. Look at the Christopher Reeve superman.....it was already great, but what came out was phenomenal! (They probably did shrink him from the movie!)

Exactly. Though the Interrogator droid looks very cool, maybe someone will sell it separately some day. Or I'll try getting the 1:4 version that came with Tarkin.

I REALLY want a good 1:6 Vader to replace my monkey arms giraffe from SSC. But the HT is still not the Vader I'm looking for. :(

i din't read all the 250++ pages here, sorry if I'm repeated.

isn't the left tusk on the Vader ANH is darker in the movie? it seems both same in this HT vader

and the shoulder armour piece

i hope the release version is dark brown on the eyes not black

(and the light saber in the poster i think they edited little too short looks kinda funny lol)

anyway i preordered it, hope it looks good beside with the sideshow vader!

The interrogator droid looks nice and everything (not getting into discussions of whether it's pear-shaped or not:)) but it's one those things I don't feel strongly about enough to keep - on the other hand if I sell it along with the stand that'll be like getting 10-15% off the figure.

Hot Toys seem to be missing an opportunity by nailing a ANH version. surely they know we would buy Vaders from all three films if they were represented properly. perhaps there is work yet to be done on the proto? hopefully so… Darth Vader should be the foundation of their Star Wars line.

It's as scene specific as it gets, but it's a really, really nice piece. It's a great alternate/short-term display option but I'm not sure many people would keep it next to Vader as a long term display. He's cooler on his own or next to troopers.
