Hot Toys - 1/6th scale Darth Vader (Battle Damaged) DX45 Collectible Figure

I was hoping there would be a 4th "exclusive collector" option that had the special damaged mask but no sculpted cape. Now I have to decide if that look for the face is worth $55 extra.

Yeah same. I don't really care for the cape. It's cool but I'm never using it.

Just not really feeling the need for this one. Three versions of Vader feels like enough to me and while this is cool I prefer to stick with film/show characters.

Yeah I’m probably passing at that price. Would come out to over $450 after tax/shipping.

Especially when I feel like I'd kind of *have* to use it just on principle since it's a chunk of the price.

Probably more like $470+ really. Shipping is always around $20 and for me tax is about the same or a little more depending on item cost.

Had to get it, got the deluxe exclusive. Will be my 3rd Hot Toys figure after Episode 2 Anakin and artisan Anakin. Effin expensive….

Shelf dive = all figures dead.

Thankfully, only one has shelf dived, a ANH ”aren’t you a little short for a stormtrooper” in 2019. Managed to get one for ”cehap” ($150) on Ebay from China as replacement. Still haven’t relocated its hip.

I had a coupon code and a bunch of rewards which put in more reasonable territory for me. Even with the Kenobi BD Vader just coming out (got mine 2 weeks ago), a full BD Vader with so many display options is impossible for me to pass up. He will look so good with Starkiller. So I'm in for the DX SE, but I can understand the sticker shock. HT are losing it.

$430 is an easy pass for me. HT stuff for me caps at $350.

I'm going to hold off on this for a bit, I need to see the Grievous price first and see if I get Scorch. I'll get the Deluxe but I'm in no rush at the moment to pre-order this. A lot has hit over the last few months and I want to catch up a bit.

Wasn't expecting the price to be THAT high.

I won't get my thank you code or the few extra RPs from my Imperial Commando that was just delivered yesterday in time to use on this guy. Along with my few other RPs would've at least brought this to under $400.

I don't even understand this cape, what is it made of? Is it completely static, just plastic? Can only imagine the absolute oblong packaging to fit this in lol
